The Vidyalaya started functioning in the year 1988 in the civil sector under the aegis of South Western Railway, Bangalore city being the Sponsoring Authority. The Vidyalaya has grown from its bud state of 5 classes (single section from I to V) to a blossom with senior secondary classes in Science stream( 2 section till class X).
